That means that trainees not only work toward their professional qualifications but acquire top-notch language and communication skills, as well. The declared mission of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Loerrach is to promote a hands-on approach and internationalism: Students learn theoretical aspects at the university but get hands-on experience right in the companies, themselves. The industrial academies in Schopfheim and Waldshut-Tiengen train young people in some 40 vocations and the best professionals in the textile and clothing industry graduate from the Gatex in Bad Säckingen. The southwestern economic region lies in the heart of a ring of top-notch universities including the two elite universities of Freiburg and Constance.
